First for Kodi Bear

Cobh is the first SW for Kodi Bear after winning the Stonehenge Stakes (8f) at Salisbury.

Always in the front rank, Cobh came through to find the lead two furlongs and then stayed on gamely to defeat Fancy Man (Pride Of Dubai) by half a length with Surprise Exhibit (Showcasing) a further 3-1/4 lengths away in third.

Owned by China Horse Club, Cobh first sold for €66,000 as a Goffs November foal then for €100,000 as a Goffs Orby yearling.

Cobh is one of two winners for Arbeel (Royal Applause), placed in the UK and a half-sister to European Free Handicap at Newmarket winner Telwar (Haafhd).

The granddam Waafiah (Anabaa) is a half-sister to Gr3 Prix Thomas Bryon third Gaitero and his third-dam is Gr1 Prix Morny winner First Waltz (Green Dancer).

Gr2 winner Kodi Bear (Kodiac) also has stakes performers Broxi and Measure Of Magic in his first-crop racing this year.
