So Wonderful is SW94 for War Front after winning Friday’s Vincent O’Brien Ruby Stakes (8f) at Killarney.
Waited with behind horses till the home straight, So Wonderful got up in the final strides to defeat Up Helly AA (Galileo) by a nose with Helvic Dream (Power) the same distance away third in a driving finish.
Placed in the Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at two and the Irish 1000 Guineas earlier this year, So Wonderful has won two and placed in eight of her 16 starts.
She is a sister to Gr3 Diamond Stakes at Dundalk third Antilles, their dam Wonder Of Wonders (Kingmambo) won the Cheshire Oaks and placed in The Oaks at Epsom and the Irish Oaks, she a half-sister to Italian Listed Winner Victory Song and Gr3-placed Sparrow (Oasis Dream), the dam of Gr3 Chexter Vase winner Sir Dragonet (Camelot).
The granddam is Gr3 Middleton Stakes at York winner and The Oaks runner-up All Too Beautiful (Sadler’r Wells), a sister to Galileo and half-sister to Sea The Stars with the third-dam Urban Sea.
Gr2 winner War Front (Danzig) stands at Claiborne Farm in Kentucky and has Gr1 winners Hit It A Bomb, Brave Anna and Preakness Stakes winner War Of Will out of mares by Sadler’s Wells.
