Life Is Good is SW84 for Into Mischief winning Saturday’s Gr3 Sham Stakes (8f) at Santa Anita.
Making just his second start, Life Is Good broke sharply and was quickly on the lead, setting a strong pace and clear into the stretch. Trained by Bob Baffert, Life Is Good sold for $525,000 as a Keeneland September yearling and races for the partnership of WinStar Farm and China Horse Club.
He is the second winner for Beach Walk (Distorted Humor) and his granddam Bonnie Blue Flag (Mineshaft) a Listed winner and Gr1 placed in the Test Stakes at Saratoga and Prioress Stakes at Belmont.
Bonnie Blue Flag is a half-sister to Gr1 Just A Game Stakes winner Diamondrella (Rock Of Gibraltar), the dam of Australian Gr3 winner Spectroscope (Medaglia d’Oro).
Gr1 winner Into Mischief (Harlan’s Holiday) was represented earlier in the day by turf Gr2 winner Mutasaabeq who wired the Mucho Macho Man Stakes at Gulfstream.
