77 for Lope de Vega

Parchemin is SW77 for Lope de Vega winning Wednesday’s Prix Isonomy (1600m) for 2yos at Deauville.

Only four runners but a close finish with Parchemin and Colosseo duelling through the final  300m, Parchemin doing enough to hold off Colosseo (Street Boss) to score by a short head.

Parchemin sold for 110,000gns as a Tattersalls October Book2 yearling when consigned by Norelands Stud and is now unbeaten in two starts.

He is the only foal to race out of Hint Of Pink (Teofilo), an unraced half-sister to Listed October Stakes at Ascot winner and Gr3 placed Pelerin (Shamardal) and to Ascot winner Masarah (Cape Cross), also third in the Listed Fleur de Lys Stakes at Lingfield.

The granddam Fragrancy (Singspiel) won four races and placed second in the Listed Severals Stakes at Newmarket and a sister to Jatabah, runner-up in the Gr3 Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket and third in the Cheshire Oaks.

Hint Of Pink has a Saxon Warrior colt, catalogued as lot 645 at next month’s Tattersalls December Foal Sale.
