Settled worse than midfield as Hopeful set a moderate pace, Directa swung wide into the home straight then finished powerfully to defeat Sheraz (Sea The Stars) by 3-1/2 lengths with Best Win (Dubawi) a head away third.
Directa sold for €4000 as an Arqana December foal then for €15,000 as an Arqana October yearling where she was purchased by trainer Joel Boisnard.
Inbred 4×4 to Gay Mecene, she is now the winner of five of her 10 starts and a half-sister German Listed winner and Gr3-placed McQueen (Silver Frost).
Their dam Misdirect (Darshaan) a winner and the granddam Miscast (Kenmare) a winner at two and placed in the Gr2 Prix de l’Opera at Longchamp.
Miscast is a half-sister to Listed Prix Finlande winner and Gr2-placed Misbegotten (Baillamont), the dam of Gr3 Prix d’Hedouville winner Not Just Swing (King’s Best) and granddam of Gr1 Falmouth Stakes winner Nahoodh (Clodovil).
