Vegadaze is the 65th stakes winner for Lope de Vega following win in the Gr3 Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill.
Vegadaze is out of a mare by Commands (Danehill) and Lope de Vega has done well with mares carrying Danehill, notably Gr1 winners Santa Ana Lane (Fastnet Rock), Belardo (Danehill), Capla Temptress (Dansili), Gytrash (Fastnet Rock) and Newspaperofrecord (Holy Roman Emperor) as well as Gr2 winner Very Special (Danehill).
Lope de Vega Gr.1 winner Vega Magic has Danewin (Danehill) as his maternal grandsire with Gr.2 winner French Fern having Danehill as her maternal grandsire.
The champion 3yo in France in 2010 when his wins included the Prix du Jockey-Club and Poule d’Essai des Poulains, Lope de Vega is advertised at €100,000 at Ballylinch Stud Ireland in 2020.
