Nadal remained unbeaten winning div2 of the Arkansas Derby (9f) and the fifth Gr1 winner for Blame.
A winner of nine races including the Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Classic and the champion older male in USA in 2010 , Blame (Arch) was never out of the first three in 13 starts and is the sire of 29 stakes winners including Prix de Diane winner Senga.
Prior to Charlatan all his Gr1 winners were female.
4×4 to Mr Prospector, Nadal’s third dam Northern Meteor (Northern Dancer) won the California Oaks.
Blame has enjoyed good success so far with mares carrying Mr Prospector notably Abscond (Gr1), Maraud (Gr2), March (Gr2) and Mrs Sippy (Gr3).
Nadal is out of a mare by Pulpit (A P Indy) and Blame has Senga as well as Gr3 winner Far From Over out of mares by A P Indy as well as Japanese Listed winner Randonnee.
From the same family as Sadler’s Wells, Nureyev and Fairy King, Blame is by Gr1 winner Arch (Kris) who has Gr2 winner Newsdad out of a mare by Pulpit and the Gr2 winners Tax and Nonna Mela with A P Indy as their maternal grandsire.
Blame is advertised at US$35,000 at Claiborne Farm in 2020.
