All Saints’ Eve is the first stakes winner for Sacred Falls after winning Friday’s Gr3 Tibbie Stakes (1400m) for fillies and mares at Newcastle.
Smothered away along the inside in a midfield position into the home straight, All Saints’ Eve was able to angle into running room and accelerated into the lead inside the final 100m and held off Yamazaki (Real Saga) and Wandabaa (Wandjina) to score.
Inbred 4×3 to Danehill, the John O’Shea-trained All Saints’ Eve is bred in partnership by Waikato and Rosemont Studs and races in the colours of Waikato Stud.
The four-year-old is now the winner of four of her eight starts and had previously been Gr3 placed in the Kembla Grange Classic.
All Saints’ Eve is a sister to this season’s winner All Hallows’ Eve and a half-sister to four winners including Gr1 New Zealand 1000 Gns winner Hasahalo (Savabeel).
Their dam Halloween (Encosta de Lago) a sister to Gr3-placed Just Forget It and half-sister to Generous Nature (Generous), the unraced dam of Gr2 Moonee Valley Vase winner Savvy Nature (Savabeel) and the Gr3 Ming Dynasty Handicap at Randwick winner Addictive Nature (Savabeel).
The granddam La Lagune (Danehill) won the Listed Quezette Stakes at Caulfield and finished runner-up in the Gr1 Blue Diamond Stakes.
Four-time Gr1 winner Sacred Falls (O’Reilly) was in his fifth season at Waikato Stud when he passed away in December 2019 following a short illness.
