Winter Power is SW5 for Bungle Inthejungle after winning Friday’s Harry Rosebery Stakes (5f) at Ayr.
Winter Power came with his challenge two furlongs out towards the stands rail with the field spread across the track before staying on strongly to defeat Nomadic Empire (Kodiac) by half a length with First Company (Fast Company) three-quarters of a length off in third.
It is the third win from eight starts for the Tim Easterby-trained Winter Power, purchased by SackvilleDonald as a Goffs Orby yearling for €90,000.
The two-year-old is a half-brother to Listed Land o’Burns Stakes at Ayr winner Hay Chewed (Camacho) and two other winners.
Their dam Titian Saga (Titus Livius) a winner at Newmarket and a half-sister to Nova Tor, the winning dam of Gr2 Ridgewood Pearl Stakes at The Curragh winner Devonshire (Fast Company) and Listed winner Hurryupharriet (Camacho), also a winner of the Harry Rosebery.
