First for Hit It A Bomb

Weston is the first stakes winner for Hit It A Bomb after winning the Gr2 Best Pal Stakes (6f) at Del Mar.

Smothered away along the inside before the home turn, Weston came out into running room and gradually wore down Girther (Brody’s Cause) to score by a neck.

Weston sold as a yearling for $7000 and has now won both his starts and earned connections $120,000,

He is a half-brother to Listed-placed Miss Segovia (Paddy O’Prado) and four other winners out of Listed-placed Elke (Dixie Union).

His third-dam Trumpet’s Blare (Vice Regent) won nine races including the Gr1 Washington Lassie Stakes at Arlington.

Hit It A Bomb (War Front) won twice in Ireland for Aidan O’Brien before taking the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf and Weston is one of his 33 first-crop foals.

He is advertised at $5000 at Spendthrift Farm, Kentucky, in 2020.
