First for Goken

Livachope is the first Group winner for Goken after winning the Gr3 Prix du Bois (1000m) at ParisLongchamp on Thursday.

The race was a triumph for Goken who also sired the runner-up Axdavali with another first-crop sire represented by third home Princess de Saba (Dariyan).

Livachope was the first stakes winner for her sire when winning the Prix la Fleche at Chantilly and she made most of the running here, pressed by Axdavali all the way and having three-quarter of a length to spare at the finish.

Racing the colours of her breeder by Alain Chopard, Livachope is the first foal out of the Listed Criterium de Vitesse third Laia Chope (Soave).

The granddam Chopinette (Sin Kiang) placed at two in France and is a half-sister to First Chope (Indian Rocket) the dam of Cosachope (Soave), who won this race in 2016.

Goken (Kendargent) (pic: FranceGalop) also won the Prix du Bois and has started his stud career in flying fashion with eight winners and three placed runners.

He is advertised at €3000 at Haras de Colleville in 2020.
