Biscayne Bay is SW69 for Sebring winning Saturday’s Gr3 South Australian Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) for 2yos at Morphettville.
Biscayne Bay was in need of running room into the home straight but found a gap inside the final 200m to some through and defeat Blushing Tycoon (Written Tycoon) and Cloudy (Frosted) in a driving finish.
It is the second win from four starts for the Lindsay Park Racing-trained filly, inbred 4×3 to Danehill, which cost Sun Stud $410,000 as a Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling.
Biscayne Bay is a half-sister to Gr2 Reisling Stakes in Sydney winner Tenley (Medaglia d’Oro). Their dam Fratianne (Lonhro) a winning half-sister to Gr3 Gunsynd Classic runner-up Avalanches (Street Cry).
The granddam Dubai Ice (Danehill) finished second in the Gr3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes and a sister to Skates three-times Listed placed and the dam of Gr1 Golden Slipper Stakes winner Vancouver (Medaglia d’Oro) and Gr1 Robert Sangster Stakes winner Juste Momente (Giant’s Causeway).
Golden Slipper Stakes winner Sebring died in 2019 at Widden Stud the result of a heart attack.
