Manobo is SW85 for Sea The Stars remaining unbeaten in Friday’s Prix Turenne (2400m) at Saint-Cloud.
Making every yard of the running, Manobo drew away early in the home straight and was untroubled to score by 10 lengths over the Wertheimer-homebred pair of Kertez (Intello) and Merveillo (Archipenko).
A homebred for Godolphin, the Charlie Appleby-trained Manobo has won all three of his starts.
Inbred 4×4 to Danzig and Mr Prospector, he is a half-brother to Gr2 Celebration Mile at Goodwood runner-up Turgenev (Dubawi), their dam Tasaday (Nayef) winner of the Gr2 Prix de la Nonette at Deauville and Gr1 placed in the Yorkshire Oaks, Prix de l’Opera and Prix Vermeille.
She is a half-sister to the Gr3 Desmond Stakes at Leopardstown winner Tribal Beat (Street Cry)
The granddam Tashelka (Mujahid) also won the Gr3 Prix de la Nonette and a half-sister to Listed Prix Pontarme at Chantilly winner and Gr1 Prix Jean Prat third Tashkandi (Polish Precedent) and to Tazkara (Sinndar), the unraced dam of South African Gr1 winner Whisky Baron (Manhattan Rain).
Manobo is the fourth stakes winner in the last week for champion Sea The Stars, advertised at €150,000 in 2021 at Gilltown Stud in Ireland.
