Volkan Star sold for 1 million guineas as a Tattersalls yearling and is the only named foal out of Chicago Dancer (Azamour), a half-sister to Gr3 Prix Edmond Blanc at Saint-Cloud winner Skins Game (Diktat) and French Listed winner Epatha (Highest Honor).
The granddam Mouriyana (Akarad) won at Saint-Cloud and a half-sister to Gr2 Prix de Royallieu winner Mouramara (Kahyasi), the dam of Gr1 Sydney Cup winner Mourayan (Alhaarth) and UK Listed winner Mourilyan (Desert Prince).
Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) won eight of his nine races including the Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. He is advertised at €150,000 at Gilltown Stud, Ireland, in 2020.
