Levante is SW4 for Proisir winning Saturday’s Counties Bowl (1100m) at Pukekohe.
Levante was last turning for home before coming with a booming finish on the outside to defeat Summer Passage (Snitzel) and It’s Destiny Child (Castledale).
It is the fifth win from six starts for the four-year-old Levante, runner-up in the Gr2 Wellington Gns in her only defeat and raced by a syndicate that includes Ancroft Stud’s Phillip Brown and his wife Catherine, who also share in the ownership of the day’s earlier Listed winner Brix.
She is a half-sister to four winners including six-time winner and Listed Spring Classic at Christchurch runner-up Doyenne (Kilimanjaro) and five-time winner and Listed Metropolitan Trophy at Canterbury third Miss Isle (Bachelor Duke).

The granddam Nuravia (Nureyev) a winning half-sister to Gr1Grand Prix de Paris runner-up and sire War Hero (Troy).
The third-dam Bahariva (Sir Gaylord) won in France and a half-sister to Gr3 Grand Prix de Vichy winner Bulington (Sicyos) and Listed winner Beaune (Lyphard), the dam of Prix du Jockey-Club winner and sire Bering (Arctic Tern).
Gr3 winner Proisir has three crops of racing age. He is advertised at $9000 at Rich Hill Stud in 2020.
