Settled in second place through the early stages, Galova challenged for the lead 400m out, reaching the lead 300m out then staying on bravely to defeat Samasthiti (Camelot) by three-quarters of a length with No Tinc Por (Authorized) a head away third.
Owned and bred by Guy Pariente, Galova had previously been Listed placed and is now the winner of two of her 14 starts, placing in a further seven.
She is the best of two winners to date for Nicole (Dashing Blade), placed in France and a sister to German Listed-placed Combination.
Nicole is also a half-sister to Deutsches Derby winner Nicaron (Acatenango) and Listed Nereide Rennen Nicara (Nebos), the dam of Australian Gr2 winner Big Memory (Duke Of Marmalade).
