Dawn Patrol is SW329 for Galileo winning Sunday’s Gr3 Loughbrown Stakes (2 miles) at The Curragh.
Settled just behind the early speed, Dawn Patrol eased into the lead inside the final furlong to defeat Barrington Court (Mastercraftsman) by three-quarters of a length with Mighty Blue (Authorized) in third.
It is the second win from seven starts for Dawn Patrol, third in the Gr1 Irish Derby in June.
He is the fourth stakes winner out of the unraced Gwynn (Darshaan) after The Derby winner Pour Moi (Montjeu), Gr3 Prix des Reservoirs at Deauville winner Gagnoa (Sadler’s Wells), the dam of Gr3 Fillies Sprint at Naas winner Etoile (War Front) and the Salsabil Stakes at Naas winner Kissed (Galileo), the dam of Irish Listed placed Leo Minor (War Front).
