High Definition is SW328 for Galileo winning Saturday’s Gr2 Beresford Stakes (8f) for 2yos at The Curragh.
High Definition looked no chance when under riding with two furlongs to go but finished powerfully over the final furlong to defeat Monaasib (Bobby’s Kitten) by three-quarters of a length with Snapraeterea (Buratino) in third.
Winner of both his starts to date for Aidan O’Brien he is a brother to Innisfree, also a winner of the Beresford Stakes as well as runner-up in the Gr1 Futurity Trophy at Newcastle.
High Definition is also a three-quarter brother to Listed winner Kingfisher (Galileo), also second in the Irish Derby and the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.
High Definition’s dam Palace (Fastnet Rock) won the Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes at Killarney as well as second in the Gr3 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown. She a half-sister to Gr3 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown winner and Poule d’Essai des Poulains third Furner’s Green (Dylan Thomas), thew Listed winner and Irish Oaks third Lady Lupus (High Chaparral) and Irish Listed winner Mystical Lady (Halling), the dam of Kingfisher.
