Parent’s Prayer is SW27 for Kingman winning the Garnet Stakes (8f) at Naas.
Settled towards the rear in the early stages, Parent’s Prayer was able to improve between horses early in the home straight and despite hanging out to the right was able to go clear and score by three-lengths over Stormy Belle (Dandy Man) and Best On Stage (Pastorius) which dead-heated for second.
It is the second win from six starts for the Archie Watson-trained Parent’s Prayer, a €165,000 Tattersalls Goresbridge Breeze-Up purchase by the BBA Ireland, and previously placed in the Gr3 Fairy Bridge Stakes at Gowran Park.
Parent’s Prayer is a half-sister to the Ascot 2yo winner Production, their dam Pure Excellence (Exceed And Excel) the winner of the Listed Montrose Stakes at Newmarket.
The granddam Albavilla (Spectrum) a winning half-sister to Listed Challenge Stakes at Leopardstown winner Barolo (Danehill).
Kingman also has French Listed winner Queen Of Love out of a mare by Exceed And Excel (Danehill) and has Gr1 winner Persian King (Dylan Thomas) and Gr3 winners Chachnak (Danehill Dancer) and Cormorant (Dansili) out of mares by sons of Danehill.
