She’s Alight is SW24 for Tavistock winning the Jungle Dawn Classic (1400m) for fillies and mares at Ascot.
She’s Alight turned for home in second place before finishing best to defeat Special Choice (Redoute’s Choice) and Chantrea (Puissance de Lune) in a bunched finish.
She’s Alight is a sister four winners including Midnitemagicman, a winner in New Zealand and Hong Kong and Listed-placed in the Great Northern Foal Stakes at Ellerslie.
The dam Keep Alight (Keeper) is a winning three-quarter sister to Gr1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas winner and sire Danske (Danehill) and a half-sister to Listed Cranbourne Cup winner Eagle Rhythm (Rhythm) and to Money Mover ( ) a winner in Australia and the granddam of Gr1 New Zealand Oaks winner Midnight Oil (Keeper).
The granddam Our Tristalight (Sir Tristram) won the Gr1 Australasian Oaks and Gr1 South Australian Oaks.
Gr1 winner Tavistock (Montjeu) was euthanised at Cambridge Stud in December 2019, eight weeks after suffering a paddock accident.
He has enjoyed great success with mares by Zabeel with four Gr1 winners – Werther, Tarzino, Toffee Tongue and Johnny Get Angry – bred this way as well as three other Group winners and 16 stakes performers in total from 71 runners.
Tavistock also has Gr1 winner Tavago and Gr2 winner Tavidream with Zabeel as their maternal grandsire.
