Go Athletico raced with cover into the home straight before being eased out to challenge with 300m to travel, finishing strongly to defeat Sealiway (Galiway) by one length with the front running Naval Crown (Dubawi) a neck away third.

Inbred 4×4 to Linamix, the Philippe Decouz-trained Go Athletico is one of two winners out of the four-time French winner Byburg.

The granddam By The Best (King’s Best) is a half-sister to US Gr2 San Clemente winner Little Treasure (Night Shift), the dam of three SWs including Gr2 La Canada Stakes winner More Chocolate (Malibu Moon).

By The Best is also a half-sister to Gr3 Dixiana Bourbon Stakes winner Keep Quiet (Elusive City).

The fourth dam is Listed Prix Yacowlef at Deauville winner Bague Bleue (Last Tycoon), a sister to Gr1 winner and sire Bigstone.

Dual Gr3 winner Goken (Kendargent) stands at Haras de Colleville where he was advertised for this season at €3,000.
