Elysium is the second SW for Belardo winning Sunday’s Gr3 Park Stakes (7f) for 2yo fillies at The Curragh
Elysium came with a big finish inside the final two furlongs from the rear of the field to defeat Aunty Bridy (Camacho) by 1-1/2 lengths with Thinking Of You (American Pharoah) in third.
It is the second win from five starts for Elysium, a €15,000 Goffs Autumn yearling.
Elysium is one of three winners out of Sonning Rose (Hawk Wing), a winner at two amd Listed placed in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Sonning Rose is a half-sister to Gr3 Premio Carlo Chiesa at Rome runner-up Universo Star (Excellent Art) and the UK Listed placed New Jersey (Statue Of Liberty).
The fourth dam Gleam (Spy Well) won the Prix de Minerve and finished second in the 1000 Guineas and Criterium de Pouliches.
Champion European 2yo of 2014, Belardo (Lope de Vega) shuttles between Darley Studs in Europe and Haunui Farm in New Zealand where his oldest southern hemisphere bred offspring are 2yos.
