Wild Ruler is the 16th Gr1 winner for Snitzel taking Friday night’s A J Moir Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley.
Wild Ruler enjoyed a trouble free run, settled just behind the leading pair of Ballistic Lover and Profiteer to the home turn where he was able to deliver his challenge, striking the front 200m out then holding the late rally from The Inferno to score.
It is the sixth win from 13 starts for Wild Ruler, Gr.1-placed last season in the Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington and now with earnings of $A2.16m.
Snitzel, whose sire Redoute’s Choice (Danehill) figures in the pedigrees of the first three, is advertised at $A165,000 at Arrowfield Stud in 2021.
Wild Ruler is one of two winners out of Gypsy Robin (Daaher), winner of the Gr.2 Raven Runner Stakes and Beaumont Stakes at Keeneland and Gr.1-placed in the Test Stakes at Saratoga.
Gypsy Robin is a half-sister to L.R. Crank It Up Stakes at Monmouth winner Tiger Cat Lilly (Tale Of The Cat).
The granddam Feisty Princess a L.R winner in North America and a half-sister to L.R. winner Cubism (Miswaki).
