First for Muhaarar

Prix Frederic de Lagrange (2400m) at Vichy winner Paix is the first SW for Muhaarar,

Paix was settled at the rear of the five runners early on and was still there turning for home before letting down powerfully to sprint to the lead and go clear to defeat longtime leader Mykiss (Makfi) by 2-1/2 lengths with Control Tower (Youmzain) filling the minor placing.

Paix sold for €250,000 as an Arqana Deauville yearling. Bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and Ecurie Skymarc Farm, she is the fourth foal out of the Gr3 Prix de Lutèce winner Pacifique (Montjeu), a three-quarter sister to Irish Oaks winner Chicquita (Montjeu).

This is also the immediate family of Gr1 winners Magic Wand, Alexandrova and Magical Romance.

Muhaarar currently has five stakes performers with four of them – Paix, Albaflora, Unforgetable and Concessions – out of mares from the Sadler’s Wells line and the other – Orchid Gardens – from Sadler’s Wells’s three-quarter brother Nureyev.

Muhaarar (Oasis Dream) is advertised at £20,000 at Shadwell Stud in England in 2020.
