Vis A Vis is SW30 for Mujahid winning Sunday’s Gran Criterium (1500m) for 2yos in Milan.
Racing in midfield till the home straight, Vis A Vis finished powerfully to come away and defeat Aria Importante (Twilight Son) by 4-1/2 lengths with Sardasht (Isfahan) a further 1-1/2 lengths away third.
Previously second in Listed company, Vis A Vis has won three of his four starts.
His dam Annaelia (Intense Focus) won her only start at two in Italy while his granddam Waiting For John (Traditionally) was placed in France and a half-sister to Listed Woodcote Stakes winner Atmospheric (Irish River) and to Richwood Royal (Royal Academy), the winning dam of Chilean Gr2 winner Rich Court (Powerscourt).
The third dam is Listed Estrapade Stakes at Hollywood Park winner Magic Feeling (Magical Wonder).
Vis A Vis is also the 12th Group winner for the Gr1 Dewhurst Stakes winner Mujahid (Danzig), pensioned in 2018 aged 22 when he was standing at Allevamento di Besnate in Italy having retired to Shadwell Stud in England and also shuttling to Australia.
