Isfahani made a winning debut in Sunday’s Gr3 Premio Guido Berardelli (1800m) at Rome in unfortunate circumstances to be the first SW for Isfahan.

Isfahani got up late to finish second, beaten 1-1/4 lengths second to Bell’Imbusto (Helmet) who was disqualified for edging out into the path of My Westwood (Mizzen Mast) and disqualified and placed third.

Isfahani sold for €36,000 as a BBAG yearling and earned €29,000 for the victory.

Isfahani is a half-sister to three-time Italian winner I Promised Myself (Dabirsim), their dam Identity (Manduro) a winner in Germany.

The granddam Irisijana (Diktat) placed in the Listed Preis Dusseldorf Wettchance Tages at Dusseldorf and is inbred to Where You Lead through Warning and Rainbow Quest. She is a half-sister to Gr2 Mehl-Mulhens winner Irian (Tertullian) and Gr3 Geelong Cup winner and Gr1 Preis Europa third Ibicenco (Shirocco).

Irisijana is also a half-sister to Inez (Dai Jin), the dam of Gr3 Prix Imprudence winner and Gr1 Prix du Moulin runner-up Spectre (Siyouni).

Champion German 3yo Isfahan (Lord Of England) won the Deutsches Derby and currently has four winners with his oldest progeny 2yos. He is advertised at €3000 at Gestut Ohlerweiherhof in Germany in 2020.
