First for Anjaal

Aztec Parade is the first SW for Anjaal winning the Tetrarch Stakes (7f) at Cork.

Racing close to the speed, Aztec Parade came through to lead two furlongs out then stayed on well to defeat Free Solo (Showcasing) by 1-1/4 lengths with Agitare (Teofilo) a nose away third.

Bred by Peter Reynolds and Robert Dore and trained by Johnny Murtagh, Aztec Parade sold for €10,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale to Eddie Linehan and has won two and placed in the other three of his five starts.

He is a half-brother to Gallant Eagle (Hawk Wing), a winner of 11 races in the UK and USA as well as placing second in the Gr3 Washington Park Handicap at Arlington Park and to Italian winner The King Geremis, also placed third in the Listed Criterium Varesino.

Their dam Generous Gesture (Fasliyev) won twice in ther UK and a half-sister to Superior Mile at Haydock winner Harvest Queen (Spinning World), the dam of Helene Happy Star (Zamindar), a Listed winner in UK and Hong Kong as well as finishing second in the Gr1 Hong Kong Gold Cup.

Gr2 July Stakes winner Anjaal is advertised at €5000 at Rathasker Stud in 2020.
