Kay Cee is the first Gr.1 winner from 85 foals of racing age for her sire Playing God (Blackfriars), who also won the Kingston Town Classic twice for Kay Cee’s trainer Neville Parnham, and is the best winner in the immediate generations of her female family.
A son of Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (Danehill), Playing God and is advertised at $11,000 at Mungrup Stud in West Australia in 2019 having covered his first season in 2014 at $4,400.
Her dam Flirt ‘n’ Hope (McFlirt) raced once without success while thegranddam Lizzy long Legs (Steel Glow) won the Gr.3 A J Scahill Stakes and placed in the Gr.1 Railway Stakes.
Further back this the family of champion stayer David (Baverstock), whose wins included the 1923 Sydney Cup.
Flirt ‘n’ Hope has an unnamed two-year-old gelding by Red Hot Choice (Redoute’s Choice). She has not been covered the last two seasons.
