3 for Gregorian

Plainchant is SW3 for Gregorian after leading all the way in Sunday’s Criterium de Bequet (1200m) for two-year-olds at La Teste.

Plainchant broke smartly and quickly settled on the lead, never headed and defeating Stardevote (Starspangledbanner) by 1-1/4 lengths with Tea Dance (Adaay) a further three lengths away in third.

A 5,000 private purchase out of last year’s Arqana October sale, Plainchant has now won two of her three starts.

Plainchant is a half-sister to two winners including Wink Oliver (Winker Watson), their dam Nadinska (Doyen) a winner in the UK and a half-sister to Gr2 Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly winner Laugh Out Loud (Clodovil), the dam of Gr2 San Marcos Stakes at Santa Anita Winner Platinum Warrior (Galileo).

Gr2 Hungerford Stakes at Newbury winner Gregorian (Clodovil) currently has 47 winners from 94 runners and  is advertised at €6000 at Rathasker Stud, Ireland, in 2020.
