Aloha Star was held up behind the leaders in the small field until a furlong out and then quickened through to take a narrow lead towards the finish, edging the favourite Frenetic (Kodiac) by a head with Mother Earth (Zoffany) third.
She is the first foal of Zain Art (Excellent Art), an unraced half-sister to three-time Listed winner Battalion (Authorized).
The granddam Zigarra (Halling) is an unraced half-sister to Gr2 winner Silent Name (Sunday Silence) and Listed winner and sire Galiway (Galileo).
The third dam is Gr3 Prix Perth winner Danzigaway (Danehill) a half-sister to Gr2 Gold Away and Gr3 Blushing Gleam.
