Midfield to halfway, Prince Lancelot pressed forward to lead passing the 300m then stayed on well to defeat Frontgate (War Front) by 2-1/2 lengths with Izumi (Showcasing) third.
It is the second win from four starts for the Fabrice Chappet-trained Prince Lancelot, sold for €90,000 as an Arqana Deauville August yearling.
Prince Lancelot is the first foal of Rainbow Vale (Moss Vale), a half-sister to Listed Prix Petite Etoile at Deauville winner Rainbow Crossing (Cape Cross), the dam of dual Gr3 Oak Tree Stakes at Goodwood winner Al Jazi (Canford Cliffs) and granddam of Gr3 Ballyogan Stakes winner Soffia (Kyllachy).
The granddam Rainbows For All (Rainbows For Life) won the Gr3 Debutante Stakes in Ireland.
