Sunday’s Empress Fillies Stakes (6f) for 2yos at Newmarket winner Time Scale is SW8 for Charm Spirit.
Raced by Qatar Racing, Time Scale came with her challenge two furlongs out before drawing away to win by 3-3/4 lengths over Concessions (Muhaarar) with Undertake (Kodiac) a further 2-1/2 lengths away in third.
Inbred 4×4 to Danzig, Time Scale is a half-sister to the Gr.2-placed Bletchley (Makfi), their dam An Ghalanta (Holy Roman Emperor) winner of the Listed Curragh Stakes at two and a half-sister to stakes placed Billyford and Bancnuanheirann.
Gr1 winner Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit) was the leading first-season sire in New Zealand in 2018-19. He is advertised at £8,500 at Tweenhills Stud in England in 2020 and also shuttles to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand.
