Monday’s Prix Panacee (2400m) for females at Toulouse winner Euclidia is SW7 for Maxios.
Settled in third place along the inside to the home turn, Euclidia ran to the lead inside the final 200m and drew away to defeat Deia (Soldier Hollow) by 3-1/2 lengths with Phoceene (Olympic Glory) third.
It is the second win from six starts for the Wertheimer homebred, previously third in the Listed Derby du Languedoc.
Euclidia is a half-sister to Gr3 Prix d’Aumale at Chantilly winner Soustraction (Lope de Vega), Listed Prix Matchem at Saint-Cloud winner and Gr1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner Mathematica (Rock Of Gibraltar) and Listed placed Guerriere (Invincible Spirit).
Their dam Mathematicienne (Galileo) a winner in France and a sister to Listed La Coupe des Trois Ans at Lyon winner Galipad and Gr3 Prix la Rochette winner Ecolo (Invincible Spirit).
The granddam Never Green (Halling) won the Listed Prix Occitanie at Bordeaux and a half-sister to five stakes winners including Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Solemia (Poliglote).
Gr1 winner Maxios (Monsun) now stands under the Coolmore banner in Ireland.
