Anasia is SW14 for Intello winning the Prix Rose de Mai (2000m) at Saint-Cloud on Thursday.
Anasia made most of the running after breaking smartly from the inside draw and was first for home in the small field.
Pressed 200m out Anasia pulled out plenty and at the line had a neck advantage over the fast finishing Mystery Angel (Kodi Bear) with Thunder Dream filling the minor placing.
It is the second win from five starts for the Wertheimer-homebred, runner-up in last year’s Gr3 Prix de Conde.
Her dam Sosia (Shamardal) won at Longchamp and finished third in the Listed Prix Coronation at Saint-Cloud. She a half-sister to Gr1 Premio Lydia Tesio winner Sortilege (Tiger Hill) and Gr3 Prix Prince d’Orange winner Soudania (Sea The Stars).
Sosia is also a half-sister to Intimhir, the winning dam of recent Gr3 Dubai Millennium Stakes winner Star Safari (Sea The Stars) and to Lombatine, the winning dam of UK Listed winner Agrotera (Mastercraftsman).
The granddam Sahel (Monsun) a winning sister to Samum, Schiaparelli and Salve Regina, the Salve Germania, as well as Sanwa, the dam of Sea The Moon.
Anasia is inbred 3×5 to Sadler’s Wells and Intello also has Listed winner Sonjeu out of a mare by Montjeu (Sadler’s Wells) as well as Gr3-placed Super Nova with Barathea (Sadler’s Wells) as his maternal grandsire.
Intello is advertised at €10,000 at Haras du Quesnay in 2021.
