Larimer Street’s win in the Listed St Albans Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley makes him the seventh stakes winner for Brazen Beau.
Previously runner-up in the Group 2 VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Flemington, Larimer Street is inbred 4×4 to Danzig (Northern Dancer) and Canny Lad (Bletchingly) with Brazen Beau already showing some success with mares carrying Danzig in their pedigree.
The winner of the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes and Group 1 Newmarket Handicap at Flemington at three, Brazen Beau has two crops of racing age in Australasia including the stakes performers Tassort, Conceited and First Dawn while his Royal Ascot Norfolk Stakes third Dubai Station has Desert Prince (Green Desert) as his maternal grandsire.
Larimer Street has the Cox Plate winner Rubiton (Century) as his maternal grandsire and Brazen Beau has the Group 3 winner Sartorial Splendor and Listed winner Ideas Man out of mares by Rubiton while Brazen Beau’s best runner to date, the Group 2 winner Pretty Brazen, has Century (Better Boy) as her maternal grandsire.
Brazen Beau was advertised at $49,500 at Darley’s Northwood Park in Victoria in 2019.
