Vamos Bebe enjoyed a perfect run just behind the speed before finding clear running room early in the homer straight to run past longtime leader Madam Hass and go clear, holding the late rally from Vigor Winner (Declaration Of War) to score with Madam Hass (Per Incanto) hanging on for third.
It is the third win from six starts for the Trelawney Stud-owned Vamos Bebe, a $200,000 Inglis Australian Easter yearling purchase by Paul Willetts from the Segenhoe-Stud draft.
She is a sister to Gr3 T L Baillieu at Randwick winner Holyfield, their dam Gr1 Myer Classic at Flemington winner Hurtle Myrtle (Dane Shadow).
The Gr2 Queensland Sires’ Produce Stakes winner Strasbourg is bred on the same Dane Shadow cross.
As his name suggests, Dane Shadow is a son of Danehill and I Am Invincible has Gr1 winner Loving Gaby and Gr2 winner Fiesta out of mares by Danehill Dancer and Gr2 winner Victorem out of a mare by Foreplay (Danehill) while Gr2 winner Libertini has Danehill as her maternal grandsire.
I Am Invincible also has Gr1 winners Brazen Beau and Hellbent with duplications of Danehill’s sire Danzig.
