Big Five SW61 for Frankel winning Monday’s Prix Right Royal (3000m) at Chantilly.
Settled towards the rear until the final turn, Big Five made smooth progress widest of all and then under slight urging lengthened into the lead 200m out to go clear and defeat Alkuin (Maxios) by 5-1/2 lengths with Richemont (Anodin) taking the minor place (pic: Twitter).
The Al Shahania-homebred is now the winner of all five of his races.
Big Five is a half-brother to Champion French 2YO Filly of 2012 Flotilla (Mizzwen Mast), winner of the Gr1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf and to the North American Listed winner Louvakhova (Maria’s Mon), the dam of Gr3 Gallinule Stakes at The Curragh winner Crossfirehurricane (Kitten’s Joy).
Big Five’s dam is Gr3 Miesque Stakes at Hollywood Park winner Louvain (Sinndar), herself a half-sister to Gr1 Haydock Sprint Cup winner G Force (Tamayuz).
