Hayzum is SW5 for Anodin winning Friday’s Grand Prix du Nord (2000m) for 3yos at Chantilly.

Settled at the rear of the six-horse field to the final turn, Hayzum was brought widest of all in the home straight, running to the lead with 300m to travel then drawing away to defeat Shalamba (Zoffany) and Now We Know (Kendargent) comfortably.

Sold for €16,000 as an Arqana yearling, Hayzum sold for €47,000 as an Osarus breeze-up 2yo and is now the winner of three of his nine races.

He is a half-brother two winners in France, their dam Sheema (Teofilo) a half-sister to Gr3 Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield runner-up Hazeymm and UAE Listed-placed Black Eagle (Cape Cross),

His granddam Shimna (Mr Prospector) a half-sister to three-time Gr1 winner and sire Shantou (Alleged).

The third-dam Shaima (Shareef Dancer) won the Gr2 Long Island Handicap in North America and the fourth dam is Champion Oh So Sharp (Kris).

Hayzum is also the ninth stakes winner in 2020 for Teofilo (Galileo) as a broodmare sire.

Anodin (Anabaa) is advertised at €12,000 at Haras du Quesnay in 2020.
