Looming four wide into the home straight, Wootton Asset quickened into the lead and went on to defeat Slicked Back (Quality Road) by three-quarters of a length with It Can Be Done (Temple City) a further 1-3/4 lengths back in third.
It is the third win from 10 starts for Wootton Asset, a €37,000 Arqana Deauville yearling.
He is one of five winners to date for Love Liu (Librettist), a half-sister to Night Bokbel (Night Shift), a Listed winner in France and Gr2 placed in North America, and Listed-placed pair Graceful Gift (Holy Roman Emperor) and Lohengreen.
