Wednesday’s Gr3 Amethyst Stakes (8f) at Leopardstown winner Sinawann is SW22 for Kingman.
Sinawann raced in second place to the home turn then went clear a furlong out, holding off Confidence High (Kodiac) to score with New World Tapestry (War Front) in third.
Bred and raced by HH The Aga Khan, Sinawann is 4×3 Danzig and a half-brother to Irish Listed winner Silwana (Peintre Celebre) , the Gr3 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes at Leopardstown runner-up Summaya (Azamour) and the UAE Listed placed Simsir (Zoffany).
The dam Simawa (Anabaa) won in Ireland at two and placed in the Listed Martin Molony Stakes at Limerick. She a half-sister to champion Sinndar (Grand Lodge), winner of the Derby, Irish Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
Gr1 winner Kingman (Invincible Spirit) has Gr1 winners Persian King and Palace Pier among his 22 feature winners while Royal Ascot winning juvenile Calyx is now at stud in Ireland and Australia under the Coolmore banner.
