Sunday’s Gr3 Blue Wind Stakes (10f) winner at Leopardstown One Voice is SW19 for Poet’s Voice.
Waited with beyond midfield, One World finished strongly to defeat Snow (Galileo) by half a length with Yaxeni (Maxios) another 2-1/4 lengths away third.
Bred by J Lenihan, One World was bought by BBA Ireland for €55,000 from the Goffs Sportsman’s Sale and is out of the winner Zaaqya (Nayef), a half-sister to the North American Listed winner Double Touch (Dutch Art).
The granddam, Classical Dancer (Dr Fong) was placed in the Listed Conqueror Stakes and Listed Ballymacoll Stakes and a half-sister to Gr1 Premio Roma winner and sire Imperial Dancer (Primo Dominie).
Poet’s Voice (Dubawi) won the Gr1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and died aged 11 at Darley’s Dalham Hall Stud after suffering a heart attack in March 2018.
His Gr1 winning son Poet’s Word stands at Boardsmill Stud in Ireland where he is advertised at €5000.
