Haparanda is SW137 for Rock Of Gibraltar winning Tuesday’s Oyster Stakes (12f) at Galway.

Taking closer order wider out to challenge for the lead into the home straight, Haparanda proved best in the run home and defeated Woodland Garden (Galileo) by two and a quarter lengths with Merroir (Born To Sea) a further three lengths away third.

The four-year-old Aga Khan-homebred has now won three of her 12 races.

She is a half-sister to Gr3 Derby Trial Stakes at Leopardstown winner Hazapour and four other winners.

Haparanda is the last known foal of Irish Listed winner Hazarafa (Daylami) a half-sister to Epsom and Irish Derby winner Harzand (Sea The Stars), Gr3 Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown winner and Gr1 Moyglare Stud Stakes third Harasiya (Pivotal) and Australian Listed winner Haripour (Shamardal).
