Dickiedooda is SW13 for Starspangledbanner after winning Sunday’s Tipperary Stakes (5f) at Cork.
Stalking the early speed, Dickiedooda was pressed by Grammata inside the final furlong but rallied strongly to defeat Grammata (Twilight Son) by 1-3/4 lengths with Chief Little Hawk (Air Force Blue) a half length away in third.
It is the second win from three starts for the Jessica Harrington-trained Dickiedooda which sold for 30,000gns as a Tattersalls December yearling.
Inbred 4×3 to Danehill (Danzig), Dickiedooda is the first winner out of So Dandy (Oratorio), a winning half-sister to French Listed winner Power Elite (Linamix) and German Listed winner La Sylvia (Oasis Dream).
Starspangledbanner (Choisir), who shuttles between Coolmore in Ireland and Rosemont Stud in Australia, also has Australian Listed winner Thrillster and US Listed winner Great Wide Open inbred to Danehill.
