Enjoying a trouble free run along the rails as Hush Writer set a consistent speed, Favorite Moon came under a ride before the home turn and was able to build momentum, finishing strongly in the straight to defeat Realm Of Flowers (So You Think) who endured a torrid run, by a neck with Sacramento (Pierro) back in third.
It is the third win from nine starts for Favorite Moon, purchased by Stauffenberg Bloodstock as a Tattersalls yearling and trained by William Haggas who won this race last year with Young Rascal.
Inbred 4×3 to Sadler’s Wells, the Gestut Gorlsdorf-bred Favorite Moon is a brother to UK two-mile winner Flammarion and a half-brother to three winners including Listed Prix du Carrousel at Maisons-Laffitte winner Fun Mac (Shirocco).
