High Emocean is SW10 for Ocean Park winning Sunday’s R M Ansett Classic (2415m) at Mornington.

High Emocean loomed to challenge around the home turn and then was strong to the line defeating Tavirun (Tavistock) and Eureka Street (Street Cry).

A $80,000 New Zealand Bloodstock Premier yearling, High Emocean is now the winner of five of her 11 starts for trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace.

She is a half-sister to Listed Oaks Prelude winner and Gr3 Eulogy Stakes third Elate, their dam High Joy (High Chaparral) a three-quarter sister to Gr2 Championship Stakes at Ellerslie winner Hidden Asset (High Chaparral).

High Joy is also a half-sister to Listed Premier’s Cup at Rosehill winner Emperor Bonaparte (Montjeu) and to Tenor Joy, the dam of New Zealand Listed winner Slimline (Castledale).

The granddam Endless Joy (Centaine) finished second in the Gr1 Thorndon Mile at Trentham and a half-sister to Champion Bonecrusher and Fragile Asset (Zabeel), the dam of Hidden Asset.

New Zealand Horse Of The Year 2012-13 Ocean Park has Gr3 winner and SW Pretty To Sea with Centaine (Century) as their maternal grandsire.

He is advertised at $20,000 at Waikato Stud in 2020.
