On The Bubbles is the first Gr1 winner for Brazen Beau with a comfortable win in Saturday’s Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m) at Awapuni.
On The Bubbles drove to the lead after 100m and then made all the running for a three-length defeat of I Wish I Win (Savabeel), the fourth in the race for trainer Jamie Richards with On the Bubbles following on from Melody Belle, Avantage and Yourdeel.
On The Bubbles has won four of his six starts for earnings of $NZ743,550 and will now be rested ahead of a spring campaign.
Inbred 5×5 to Danzig, he is the first Gr.1 winner for Brazen Beau (I Am Invincible), the Champion 3YO Colt in Australia in 2014-15 when his wins included the Gr.1 Newmarket Handicap and Coolmore Stud Stakes.
Brazen Beau was advertised at $49,500 at Darley’s Victorian stud in 2020.
On The Bubbles is the only named foal for More Bubbles (Sebring), inbred 4×3 to Danehill and a half-sister to Gr1 Myer Classic at Flemington winner Politeness (Street Sense).
