Indie Angel is SW67 for Dark Angel winning Thursday’s Fleur de Lys Fillies’ Stakes (8f) at Lingfield.
Settled at the rear early, Indie Angel then made a looping run around the field to challenge into the home straight, reaching the lead inside the final furlong to defeat Lavender’s Blue (Sea The Stars) by 1-1/4 lengths with Ummalnar (Shamardal) a neck away third.
Indie Angel sold for 600,000gns as a Tattersalls December foal to Cheveley Park Stud and has now won four of her 11 starts.
Her dam Indigo Lady (Sir Percy) won the Listed Silver Stakes at The Curragh and placed in the Gr3 Prix d’Aumale at Chantilly and the granddam Seal Indigo (Glenstal) won five races.
She is a half-sister to stakes-placed Campalto (Fools Holme) and Gorgeous Dancer (Nordico), the dam of Gr1 Premio Roma winner Imperial Dancer (Primo Dominie) and Listed winner Lafite (Robellino) as well as Listed placed Classical Dancer (Dr Fong), the granddam of Gr3 Blue Wind Stakes at Leopardstown winner One Voice (Poet’s Voice).
The third-dam Simply Gorgeous (Hello Gorgeous) an unraced half-sister to Irish Oaks winner Give Thanks (Relko).
Gr1 winner Dark Angel (Acclamation) will stand for €60,000 at Yeomanstown Stud in 2021.
