14 for Reliable Man

De La Terre is SW14 for Reliable Man winning the Gr3 Soliloquy Stakes (1400m) for 3yo fillies at Te Rapa.

Ridden to lead shortly after the start De La Terre set a steady speed and was clear around the home turn. She was tiring late but had done enough to hold off Kahma Lass (Darci Brahma) to score by a nose with Tokorangi (Redwood) running on well for third.

It is the fourth win for De La Terre, a $55,000 NZB Karaka Book1 yearling purchase who will now head to the New Zealand 1000 Guineas on November 14.

She is a sister to Gr1 Diamond Stakes runner-up at Ellerslie Aalalune and a half-sister to Singapore Listed-placed Black Thorn (Redwood) and Australian winner The Stylist (Swiss Ace).

The granddam Barawin (Barathea) won the Listed Dommben Slipper Stakes in Brisbane and runner-up in the Gr1 T J Smith Classic at Eagle Farm.

Inbred 3×4 to Sadler’s Wells, De La Terre is out of Veva Girl, by Fastnet Rock (Danehill) and Reliable Man has cross as Gr1 VRC Oaks winner Miami Bound on a similar Danehill cross.

Classic winner Reliable Man (Dalakhani) shuttles between Westbury Stud in New Zealand and now to Gestut Rottgen in Germany.
