Subjectivist is the 50th Group winner for Teofilo after running away with Saturday’s Gr3 March Stakes (14f) at Goodwood.
Faced by just three rivals, Subjectivist made all the running in the testing conditions and powered home 15 lengths clear of Cabaletta (Mastercraftsman).
A 62,000gns Tattersalls October Book 3 yearling, Subjectivist is now the winner of three of his 13 starts, placing in a further six for trainer Mark Johnston.
Inbred to Danehill and Sadler’s Wells, Subjectivist is a three-quarter brother to Sir Ron Priestley (Australia), also a winner of the March Stakes and runner-up in the Gr1 The St Leger.
Their dam Reckoning (Danehill Dancer) won in the UK and three-times Listed placed.
Unbeaten at two, Teofilo is the sire of 94 stakes winners from 1016 runners. He is advertised at €40,000 at Kildangan Stud in Ireland in 2020.
