Serpentine is the 86th Gr1 winner for Galileo after his win in The Derby (12f) at Epsom on Saturday.
Serpentine is a brother to four stakes winners including Gr2 Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh winner Wedding Vow and Gr3 winners Bye Bye Baby and Beacon Rock.
His dam Remember When (Danehill Dancer) placed in the Oaks and a three-quarter sister to Gr1 winner and sire Dylan Thomas and half-sister to Gr1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket winner Queen’s Logic (Grand Lodge), the dam of Gr2 winner Queen Kindly (Frankel), and to Gr1 Irish 1000 Gns winner Homecoming Queen (Holy Roman Emperor).
Galileo has enjoyed great success with Danehill and his sons. He has the Oaks winner Minding, this year’s Queen Anne Stakes winner Circus Maximus, Gr1 winners Alice Springs and The Gurkha out of mares by Danehill Dancer.
Winner of the race himself, Galileo (below at home) is the first to sire five winners of the Derby.
